Armenian  Honey  Rice Pudding Recipe
Called Anoush Aboor, one can eat this sweet rice dessert anytime hot or cold. This was typically prepared for the birth of each grandchild by the maternal grand mother

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup rice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 !/2 cups water
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • cinnamon
  • cloves
  • blanched almonds
  • walnuts

Directions
  1. Wash rice and drain.
  2. Place in pot with water and boil gently 1/2 hour.
  3. Add 1/3 cup of the sugar and stir.
  4. Let boil gently another 10 minutes.
  5. Repeat twice again with the remaing thir cups of sugar
  6. Complete cooking should total about one hour.
  7. Remove from heat and add ginger and stir.
  8. Pour into 6 pudding dishes.
  9. Sprinkle each with cinnamon, ginger and cloves. decorate with nuts
  10. Serve hot or cold
