How to make it

  • Place pork in a resealable
  • Add first 7 ingredients to bag, seal and turn to coat ribs
  • Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight, turning occasionally
  • Place potatoes and carrots in the bottom of a 5 to 6 qt. slow cooker
  • Transfer pork ribs to bed of carrots and potatoes
  • Pour ale mixture over all
  • cover and cook on low for8 to 9 hours or on high for 4 to 4 1/2 hours
  • Remove pork from cooker; cover and keep warm
  • Pour cooking liquid through sieve into a heat proof bowl to strain
  • Measure out 2 Cups of the juices, if necessary add water to make 2 cups
  • Stir 1/4 C water and cornstarch together in a medium saucepan
  • Add the 2 cups of strained liquid and cook stirring over medium heat until thick and bubbly
  • Cook and stir 2 minutes longer
  • Serve sauce with meat, vegetables and radishes, if using
  • Makes 4 to 6 servings
