Starbucks Copycat Caramel Scones

- Starbucks Copycat caramel Scones shopping list
- 3 cups unbleached all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup unsalted or salted butter (or margerine) shopping list
- 3/4 cup half and half or light whipping cream shopping list
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (if unsalted butter is used) shopping list
- 1 tablespoon baking powder shopping list
- 1 cup milk (for best results use whole milk) shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 2 teaspoons vanilla shopping list
- 1 cup butterscotch baking chips shopping list

- 1/3 cup butterscotch baking chips, fine chopped (use food processor) shopping list
- 1 egg white, slightly beaten shopping list
- Confectioner's (powdered) sugar (optional) shopping list

- Preheat oven to 425 F. shopping list
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place flour and butter in a medium mixing bowl, combine with your fingers shopping list
- to a coarse meal consistency. Add sugar, baking powder and salt (if used) combine well. Stir in cream, vanilla and egg, shopping list

- Scoop mixture onto baking sheet. Brush tops with beaten egg white; sprinkle ground butterscotch chips over top. Bake shopping list
