How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350°
  • Saute celery and onion in hot oil for 7 minutes or until tender.
  • Set aside.
  • Combine corn bread and poultry season in a large bowl.
  • Lightly grease a 9 X 13 baking dish.
  • Layer half of cornbread in baking dish.
  • Combine onion mixture, chicken, broth, sour cream, egg and salt in a bowl, then spread evenly over cornbread mixture.
  • Top evenly with the remaining cornbread mixture and drizzle with butter.
  • Bake covered for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
  • Remove from oven and sprinkle with cheese.
  • Bake an additional 10 minutes uncovered until cheese is golden.
