Southern Fried Corn

- 8-10 ears of fresh corn of choice shopping list
- 4-5 slices of bacon shopping list
- 1/4 c cooking oil shopping list
- 1/2 stick butter shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Shuck corn
- with sharp knife cut kernels from ears (about 1/4 deep)
- scrape mik from corn ears both ways
- set aside in bowl
- pan fry bacon in a cast iron skillet, rendering drippings
- remove crisp bacon and set aside
- add a little oil to hot pan with drippings
- add corn and crumbled bacon
- fry over medium heat about 15 minutes
- add butter and continue to cook to desired doneness.
- May add chopped onions, green peppers, etc to taste
- YUM!
