Crockpot Pork Roast With Apple Glaze Recipe

Crockpot Pork Roast With Apple Glaze Recipe
Great pork roast in the crockpot! Our family likes it with mashed potatoes or sweet potatoes and corn on the side.

Ingredients
  • 4 pound pork loin roast, trimmed
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup apple juice
  • 3-4 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 6 granny smith apples, quartered

Directions
  1. Rub roast with salt and pepper.
  2. Brown pork roast in heavy skillet just to remove some excess fat.
  3. Place apple quarters in bottom of crockpot.
  4. Place roast on top of apples.
  5. Combine apple juice, brown sugar and ginger. Spoon over top surface of roast, moistening well. Cook on low setting for 8 hours or until done.
  6. Note: My crockpot runs "hot" so my roast is always done in about 6 hours. Use meat thermometer to test -- you don't want to overcook this baby.

Yummy! Thanks for posting!

Looks tasty to me!

Looks good. I'm going to use the glaze on some pork chops stuffed with apple and raisin stuffing. Only instead of apple juice, I'll use some hard apple cider.
