How to make it

  • Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium high heat until crisp; remove bacon from skillet, reserving drippings in skillet.
  • Set bacon aside.
  • Add coleslaw to drippings, saute over medium high heat about 3 minutes.
  • Add vinegar and next 4 ingredients; cook 1 minute, stirring constlantly.
  • Remove from heat; crumble bacon, and stir into coleslaw mixture.
  • Serve warm.
  • Enjoy!

    I used to fix this for my family about 20 years ago and had forgotten how to make it. The only difference is the balsamic vinegar. I used apple cider vinegar. Thank you so much. This is a great recipe!!! My family loved it!

    Honey, you can't go wrong when you add bacon to a slaw! This sounds a lot easier than my recipe and I'm going to give it a try on the Fourth.
