Toffee Bars

If you cannot find English Toffiee bits I have used a Heath Bar candybar.
Ingredients
- 1 cup firmlly packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1 cup (2 sticks) margarine, softened shopping list
- 1 egg yolk shopping list
- 2 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate or real semi-sweet chocolate chps shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate English toffee bits shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 325* Combine brown sugar, margarine and egg yolk in large bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Reduce speed to low; add flour. Beat until well mixed.
- Press mixture evenly onto bottom of ungreased 15x10x1-inch jelly-roll pan. Bake for 22-25 minutes or until lightly browned. (Bars will be soft).
- Sprinkle immediately with chocolate chips; let stand 3 minutes. Swirl chips slighly with table knife or back of spoon. Sprinkle with toffee bits. Cut into bars with sharp knife while warm.
