How to make it

  • In large saucepan with cover, saute bacon, over moderate heat, until golden
  • Add onion, potatoes, and 1 cup water
  • Cover; bring to boil, simmer about 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender but not mushy
  • Remove cover, set saucepan aside
  • In medium saucepan with cover, combine corn, heavy cream, sugar, and butter
  • Simmer, covered over low heat, about 10 minutes
  • Add to potato mixture with remaining ingredients
  • Cook, stirring occasionally over low heat, until heated through
  • DO NOT BOIL
