  • 1 pkg Golden Sugar Cookie mix - I used Duncan Hines
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tblspn water
  • 1 tblspn light molasses
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • .
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tblspn milk
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped pecans

Directions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Grease cookie sheets
  3. Combine, cookie mix, egg, water, molasses, ginger, cinnamon & soda in a large bowl & mix until thoroughly blended
  4. Place the1/4 cup sgar in a small bowl
  5. Shape about 1 level tblspn of dough into a ball & roll in the sugar to completely cover
  6. Repeat with rest of dough & place about 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets
  7. Flatten slightly with the bottom of a drinking glass
  8. Brush tops lightly with milk
  9. Sprinkle with pecans
  10. Bake for 9 mins for chewy cookies or 10 mins for crisp cookies
  11. Cool 3 mins on cookie sheets & then more to wire racks to cool completely
  12. Store in airtight container
