How to make it

  • Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees
  • Grease cookie sheets
  • Combine, cookie mix, egg, water, molasses, ginger, cinnamon & soda in a large bowl & mix until thoroughly blended
  • Place the1/4 cup sgar in a small bowl
  • Shape about 1 level tblspn of dough into a ball & roll in the sugar to completely cover
  • Repeat with rest of dough & place about 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets
  • Flatten slightly with the bottom of a drinking glass
  • Brush tops lightly with milk
  • Sprinkle with pecans
  • Bake for 9 mins for chewy cookies or 10 mins for crisp cookies
  • Cool 3 mins on cookie sheets & then more to wire racks to cool completely
  • Store in airtight container
