How to make it

  • Cream butter. Beat in sugars until fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs, beat well. Add flour, cocoa and baking soda. Stir in pecans. Shape a tablespoon of dough around 1 Rolo caramel, making sure it is completely covered. Press one side of each ball into the nut topping and place “nut-side-up” on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° oven for 10-12 minutes.

When this cookie is finished the middle is caramelly....but there is no hint of the candy....keeps people guessing what the secret ingredient is! I am planning to make them this weekend and will post a picture.
