How to make it

  • Beat eggs & sugar together]
  • Add flour & baking powder
  • Beat until smooth
  • Stir in dates & nuts
  • Pour into greased & floured 8 inch pan
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes
  • Cool and remove from pan
  • About 30 minutes before serving, break cake into small pieces into the whipped cream.
  • Serve in dessert dishes garnished with maraschino cherries.
