Southern Peanut Brittle

- 3 cups granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups water shopping list
- 1 cup white corn syrup shopping list
- 1/8th tsp sea salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
- 3 cups raw peanuts shopping list
- 2 tablespoons baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 stick butter shopping list
How to make it
- On stovetop:
- Boil sugar, water and syrup until the mixture forms thin threads;
- add peanuts.
- After adding peanuts, stir continually until syrup turns golden brown.
- Remove from heat; add remaining ingredients; stir until butter melts.
- Pour quickly on two cookie sheets with sides.
- As mixture begins to harden around edges, pull until thin.
- When hard, break into pieces and enjoy!
- This brittle also keeps well in airtight containers. :+D

I will have to give this a try. I haven't been too successful in makeing brittle. The golden stage always gets me.
