How to make it

  • On stovetop:
  • Boil sugar, water and syrup until the mixture forms thin threads;
  • add peanuts.
  • After adding peanuts, stir continually until syrup turns golden brown.
  • Remove from heat; add remaining ingredients; stir until butter melts.
  • Pour quickly on two cookie sheets with sides.
  • As mixture begins to harden around edges, pull until thin.
  • When hard, break into pieces and enjoy!
  • This brittle also keeps well in airtight containers. :+D

    I will have to give this a try. I haven't been too successful in makeing brittle. The golden stage always gets me.
