Halloween Pumpkin Cake Recipe

Ingredients

1 pkg - 2 layer size cake mix - any flavor of your choice

1 pkg (250g) cream cheese - softened

1/4 cup butter - softened

4 cups icing sugar

Few drops each - green, red & yellow food coloring

1 Flat bottomed icecream cone

Directions

Grease & flour 12 cup fluted bundt pan

Mix & bake cake mix according to instructions on pkg

Cool in pan 10 mins

Invert cake onto a wire rack to cool completely

Meanwhile :- With an electric mixer on medium speed, beat cream cheese & butter until well blended

Gradually add icing sugar, beating well until blended

Remove 1/2 cup frosting to a small bowl

Add green food coloring a few drops at a time & mix well until the desired color is reached

Spread 1/2 the green frosting onto the icecream cone & set aside

Set aside the rest of the green frosting

To the remaining white frosting add red & yellow food coloring until you have a nice orange color

Spread onto cake to resemble a pumpkin

Place the reserved green icing in a plastic bag, squeeze out the air, snip a tiny tip off one corner & pipe vertical lines up the cake & at intervals all around

Invert the frosted icecream cone into the hole in the center of the cake to resemble a stem
