cherry chocolate chip drop cookies

scrummy yummie choc chip cookies hmmmmmmmm
Ingredients
- 75g -3oz butter, softened shopping list
- 75g - 3oz caster sugar shopping list
- 75g - 3 oz soft light brown sugar shopping list
- 1 egg, beaten shopping list
- 1tsp vanilla essence shopping list
- 175g - 6oz plain flour shopping list
- ½ tsp baking powder shopping list
- 50g – 2 oz dried cherries, chopped (soak cherries in a little orange juice for 1hr to soften) shopping list
- 100g - 4oz plain chocolate drops/chips shopping list
How to make it
- heat oven to 180C, 350F or gas mark 4
- beat butter and sugars till smooth
- add vanilla to beaten egg
- add egg slowly to sugar mix, beating well
- sift flour and baking powder to sugar, beating well
- chop cherries, add to mix with half the chocolate, stir well
- with a teaspoon drop mix onto greased baking trays
- flatten with back of fork and sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips
- bake for 10 min or until golden brown
- leave on trays for a few min then lift off with spatula onto wire wrack to cool
