Ingredients
  • 4 c flour
  • 1 T sugar
  • 2 t salt
  • 1 T white vinegar
  • 1 3/4 c Crisco
  • 1/2 c cold water
  • 1 large egg

Directions
  1. In a large bowl, mix well with a fork, flour, sugar and salt.
  2. Add shortening; mix well with fork until crumbly.
  3. In a small bowl, beat water, vinegar and eggs.
  4. Add to flour mixture; stir until moistened.
  5. Divide dough into 5 portions and shape each into a flat circle.
  6. Wrap each circle in plastic and chill at least 1/2 hour.
  7. Makes 5 - 9" crust.
  8. Note:
  9. Dough can be refrigerated up to 3 days.

Are you sure this makes 5 crust? Seems like they might be a little thin. I always thought 1 cup flour/crust. This looks like it might be a nice recipe. :)


Will definately be trying this recipe, I have the hardest time with crust
