How to make it

  • Mix all ingredients with the besan( gram flour). Add water to make a smooth batter.
  • Heat oil in a pan to a full flame.
  • Lower the flame and drop spoonful of batter in to the oil and fry
  • Until golden brown.
  • Continue the same till all the batter is done.

    Sounds great. I used to make them with grated carrot and fine sliced potatoes too.
    Do you have a recipe for the coriander chutney type stuff (yogurt, fresh coriander, some spices)to serve with these as a "dip"?

    Yum sounds good.. I usually add a lot of onion in mine and then mash it in the Besan with the spices.. Thanks for sharing! Rich
