How to make it

  • Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and sour cream. Mix in dry ingredients. Cover and
  • refrigerate overnight. Preheat oven to 425ºF. Roll out dough to a 1/4 to 3/8 inch thickness using a
  • generous amount of flour. Cut out shapes and bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 8 minutes.
  • Cool on wire rack. Frost and decorate as desired

    These are the best Lofthouse I have ever had. Previous I had only bought them. I did add about 1/4 tsp almond extract to the dough and the icing.

    Oh man, I LOVE those lofthouse soft cookies - I'm in trouble now. I have to force myself to walk past them in the grocery store...now I can make them at home and eat the whole batch (well, maybe I should try to control myself - don't want to get a stomach ache!). Thanks henrie!
