Food Paints Recipe
These are fun, flavorful "food paints" inspired by Katie Brown. They are a great accent to your hors d'oeuvres, and are very pretty to decorate serving platters

Ingredients
  • Red or yellow pepper (depending on desired color)
  • 2 c. olive oil
  • Plastic bag
  • 1/2 tsp. lime juice
  • 2 Tbs red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp. honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Roast red, orange or yellow peppers in broiler until burnt.
  2. Cool pepper slightly and place in plastic bag. Put in freezer for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Remove pepper from freezer and remove skin and seeds from pepper.
  4. Put pepper in blender with lime juice, vinegar, honey, and salt and pepper and mix on high.
  5. Slowly pour in olive oil.
  6. Transfer to condiment , squirt bottle.
  7. Decoratively drizzle onto hors d'oeuvres platters and over your appetizers.
  8. Very pretty during holidays!
