Dugger / All my dishes 1 year ago
This was my mom's concoction. There never was a recipe written but we had seen it made enough to know what was in it. Just didn't know how much. So after a couple of trial runs it finally tastes about right.

This is NOT german potato salad. That is what we called it as kids but I've learned that it is not. German potato salad never had mayonnaise in it. This is a local derivative. The mayo mellows out the taste. I'm not quite sure what to call it so I made up a new name.

For you history buffs... Louisvile Ky has one of the four highest concentrations of German descendants in the US. The others are Cincinatti, St. Louis and Milwaukee. There you go, another bit of trivia.

Oh hey Dugger! Great post here, and love the bits of trivia, too! Man, you know this potato salad would taste like a million bucks, but you'd need that much money to live on after the heart attacks! LOL You get my 5 on this one!--Kn0x--
