Linguine With Spicy Red Clam Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 package fresh linguine
  • 1 T EVOO
  • 1/2 cup chopped white onion
  • 1 T minced garlic (or more if you like garlic :D)
  • 1/2 t crushed red pepper (or more if you like it spicy :D)
  • 2 T tomato paste
  • 14.5 oz. can no-salt-added diced tomatoes, drained
  • 2 6.5 oz. minced clams, drained
  • 2 T fresh chopped parsley
  • 1 T fresh chopped basil
  • 1 T fresh chopped oregano

Directions
  1. Cook pasta according to directions
  2. Heat EVOO in nonstick skillet over medium-high heat
  3. Add onion, garlic, crushed red pepper to pan; saute 3 minutes or until onion slightly browned
  4. Stir in tomato paste and tomatoes; cook 4 minutes or until thick, stirring constantly
  5. Stir in clams; cook 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated
  6. Remove from heat; stir in parsley, basil & oregano
  7. Mix with pasta
  8. Enjoy!
