Moms Old Fashioned Quick n Easy Stovetop Mac n Cheese

- 1 small box jumbo elbow macaroni shopping list
- 1 T EVOO shopping list
- 2 T kosher salt shopping list
- 1/4 stick margarine or butter shopping list
- 2 % milk shopping list
- 4 slices American cheese shopping list
- 1/2 c parmesan shopping list
- 8 slices swiss cheese shopping list
- fresh ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Cook pasta in boiling water with EVOO and kosher salt
- When done, (cuts easy against side of pan with a spoon), pour into colander and drain and RINSE well
- Rinse all that starch residue from pan
- Return pasta to pan
- Add milk, about 1/4 way up to top of pasta
- Add butter
- Return pan to med heat
- When butter starts to melt, start tearing cheese and adding, stirring every few pieces
- It will look soupy as the cheese melts, but will thicken quite a bit as it stands
- Adjust thickness with cheese or milk as needed
- Top wtih fresh ground black peper
- This is extremely creamy and cheesey. Does not need cream, half and half, flour, popped in the oven, etc. Just ooey, gooey, creamy cheesey mac n cheese.
