Sweet Potato Casserole With Praline Topping

- Potato mixture shopping list
- 3 large eggs shopping list
- 5 lbs. fresh sweet potatoes or yams (6 cups) shopping list
- (boiled, drained, peeled & mashed shopping list
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 2/3 cup butter or margarine, melted shopping list
- 1/2 cup heavy cream shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. each ground nutmeg & allspice shopping list
- praline topping shopping list
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed shopping list
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 cup finely chopped pecan shopping list
- 1/3 cup butter or margarine shopping list
- (cut in small pieces) shopping list
- 12 pecan halves (garnish) shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 350°
- grease a shallow 2 quart baking dish
- potato mixture: in large bowl, beat eggs
- stir in potatoes until blended
- add remaining ingredients; mix well
- spread evenly in prepared baking dish
- topping: in medium size bowl, mix sugar, flour and nuts
- work in butter with hands until well blended
- sprinkle evenly over potato mixture
- bake in oven for 6 to 70 minutes until topping is browned and bubbling
