AKA Pigs in a Blanket. A homemade dough for wrapping up hot dogs, sausage links, etc. I think you could even make a meat filling and make a pocket sandwich. If you wrap 8 hot dogs, it is fairly thick. You could wrap 16 for a lighter wrap.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter, cold and cut into pieces
  • 3/4 cup sour milk or buttermilk
  • 8 or 16 hot dogs

Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400*F.
  2. Grease a large baking sheet.
  3. Sift together the dry ingredients.
  4. Cut in the butter until the mixture is crumbly.
  5. Pour in the milk and use a rubber spatula to fold the milk in until fully incorporated. I turn out onto a lightly floured counter and use my fingers to fully incorporate all the flour.
  6. Let the dough rest for a few minutes.
  7. Lightly flour the top of the dough and pat or roll out into a a rectangle 1/4" thick.
  8. Cut into 8 strips (16 if you would like a lighter wrap on your hot dogs).
  9. Starting it one end, spiral wrap to the other end. If you have excess just lay it back over the coil.
  10. Place seam side down on the greased cookie sheet.
  11. Bake 12 to 13 minutes or until golden brown.
