Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Grease and flour 10” tube or 12” bundt pan
  • Sprinkle chopped nuts over bottom of pan
  • Mix all cake ingredients together
  • Pour cake batter over nuts
  • Bake 1 hour and put out to cool…not too long
  • While cooling, make glaze:
  • Melt butter in sauce pan
  • Stir in water and sugar
  • Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly (till slightly thickened)
  • Remove from heat and stir in rum or Amaretto
  • After cake cools, invert on serving tray or plate
  • Prick holes into top of cake (many)…I use a cake tester
  • Drizzle and smooth the glaze over the top and sides of cake
  • Allow cake to absorb glaze and keep repeating until all glaze is gone.
  • Decorate aound the bottom edge of cake with fresh blackberries.

This is the BEST "5"FORK!!!!! RUM CAKE EVER ~
The only thing that I do differently is that I
do not use the nuts ~

"walk off of the table by itself" with all
the RUM that is in it !!! (^_^) !
    Blessings ~
