This is a favorite of this area and great to serve groups. Can be made ahead.

Ingredients
  • 1 c. celery
  • 1 large bell pepper
  • 1 med onion
  • 1 can english peas drained well
  • lettuce, washed and drained extremely well
  • 1 or more c. sharp cheddar cheese
  • Bacon, cooked, drained and crumbled
  • Dressing:
  • 1 1/2 c. salad dressing
  • 8 oz sour cream

Directions
  1. Layer salad in large bowl as follows
  2. lettuce
  3. celery
  4. pepper
  5. onion
  6. peas
  7. Dressing
  8. sprinkle 2 TBSP of sugar on top of dressing
  9. cheese
  10. bacon
