Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a large bowl combine butter, brown sugar, vanilla and egg yolk.
  • In a small bowl, mix flour and salt.
  • Stir flour into butter mixture until all the flour is mixed in.
  • Form dough into 48 equal size balls.
  • Finely chop pecans.
  • Dip each ball into egg white then roll in pecans.
  • Place on lightly greased cookie sheet and press thumb deeply into the center of each cookie.
  • Bake in preheated 350F oven for 10 to 12 min. or until cookies are lightly browned.
  • Fill each cookie with 1/2 teaspoon of Jam.
  • Cool and serve.

    I totally forgot to review these!!!I am sooo sorry! I made these for my Christmas cookie platters and they were excellent....very rich and delicious! I used strawberry and apricot preserves.
