I tried this last night and it was sooooo good i almost ate all of it!!! I halved the recipe though and found that cooking it at 1.5hrs, so the rice cooks all the way, was purrrfection! Thank you soooo much for sharing this. it will definitely be made again this weekend and forever.

Wow! Thanks for the praise on this rice pudding. Funny how it cooks, isn't it? One minute is all watery and the next it is a nice, tight pudding. I was devastated when I lost this recipe so many years ago and am happy to have it back in the fold. Thanks very much for the five, grandma. Enjoy the recipe.. just don't lose it like I did!

I made this a couple nights ago and it was wonderful! I kept looking at it when I stirred it and wondering if there was too much liquid. Then in the last half hour before adding the raisins, it thickened up. We loved it! My picky husband ate so much of it I didn't even think I was going to get seconds! When he eats something up, that is high praise. Great recipe! Definitely a 5!!!!!!!

I like rice pudding with a good bit of rice in it and less custardy. That's why I sneak in more rice. A friend of mine makes her rice pudding using arborio rice. It doesn't seem to make that much difference and white rice is cheaper. Thanks for the 5, wynne!
