How to make it

  • Finely shred cabbage , cutting away and discarding the thick white ribs
  • heat the oil in a medium saucepan over medium- high heat
  • fry the mustard seeds until they begin to pop, then add the cabbage and fry, stirring for about 1 1/2 minutes
  • add the remaining ingredients, reduce heat to medium- low , cover and simmer until cabbage is tender about 8 minutes, stirring and shaking the pan occasionally.
  • serve in a shallow bowl.......
