Sparkling Cider Floats

Similar to a friend's recipe from here, but this is our version we've been making forever. Great end to an autumn meal.

1 gallon quality apple cider shopping list
2 liter ginger ale(or a crisp sparkling wine or champagne can be subbed) shopping list
1/2 gallon quality ice cream(we use butter pecan or a toffee pieces flavor, most often) shopping list
