Cinnamon Strip Cookies Recipe

How to make it

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees
  • Mix sugar, margarine and egg yolk.
  • Stir in flour and cinnamon.
  • Press in lightly greased jelly roll pan.
  • (15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch or use 2 baking pans, one 8x8x2 inches and one 9x9x2 inches)
  • Beat egg white and water until foamy; brush over dough.
  • Sprinkle with walnuts.
  • Bake until very light brown, 20 - 25 minutes
  • Immediately cut into strips, 3x1 inch
