Apple Cider Cranberry Sauce Recipe
This Cranberry Sauce has a little of every flavor that make cranberries special! It's quick, easy, and is great on pork or all poultry all year long!

Ingredients
  • 3 Cups Apple Cider
  • 3/4 Cups Sugar
  • 4 whole Cinnamon Sticks
  • 16 whole Clove (adjust to taste)
  • 1 large Orange
  • 2 1/2 Cups whole fresh (or frozen) Cranberries

Directions
  1. With a paring knife, carefully peel away zest from Orange in long strips and set aside.
  2. Juice Orange and set aside juice
  3. In medium saucepan, over medium heat, combine first four ingredients plus Orange zest and juice.
  4. Stirring occasionally, increase heat and bring to boil.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer 12 to 15 minutes.
  6. Increase heat to High and add Cranberries.
  7. Stir continuously until Cranberries begin to pop and sauce begins to thicken.
  8. Remove from heat and remove cinnamon sticks and orange zest and discard.
  9. Transfer to serving dish, cover and chill until ready to serve.

The best cranberry sauces I've seen in a while.


Oh MAN!!! Why didn't I think of this??? I was inundated with apple cider this year and just got rid of the last of it....now I need to buy more! LOL! Sounds great!!!


Thanks you two! I hope you try it. Don't worry about leaving the whole cloves in because they just soften right up and don't change the texture of the sauce.
