Party Omelets In A Bag Recipe
I saw a friend whose houseguests shared this recipe with her. She loved the fun of shared prep and how good and surprisingly perfectly these turned out.

Ingredients
  • 12 large or extra-large eggs
  • bowls full of mixings such as:
  • chopped onion
  • chopped peppers
  • chopped ham
  • herbs
  • 6 1-quart Zip-lock bags

Directions
  1. Have a large pot of boiling water going on your stovetop.
  2. Give each person a Zip-lock bag.
  3. Break two eggs into each bag, zip, and knead the eggs for a moment with your fingers to "beat" them.
  4. Have each guest help themselves to adding fixings to their eggs and then zip and shake their bags.
  5. At once toss the bags into the pot and remove at 13 minutes.
  6. Each person can open their bags and let slide out perfect omelets.
  7. Serve with fresh fruit, muffins, etc. and have a fun brunch.

What a great and unusual idea! Sounds like fun for kids too.Couldn't save this one, had to print it out.

Wow, Nancy - that is so fun and cool! Everyone would love making their own and it would be easy for the hostess (and it's ALL about me..heh). Fantastic offering - and unique, too. Thanks so much for shring this. I can't wait to try this out. *hugs* Vickie

We do this all time with our group of RV'ers. Everyone brings something different to add to the eggs and or a side dish. Makes for a fun morning.

This is a fun idea!
