Mushroom Bisque

- 1 lb fresh mixed mushrooms, sliced shopping list
- 1 cup butter shopping list
- 1/2 small onion, finely chopped shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 4 cups chicken stock shopping list
- 1 pint half and half (room temp) shopping list
- 1 t hot sauce shopping list
- 1/2 cup corn starch shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Saute onion and mushrooms in butter until tender, adding garlic about half way through
- Add corn starch and stir and cook til smooth and bubbly, to make a roux
- Slowly add chicken stock and stir and cook until it begins to thicken and corn starch is all dissolved.
- Slowly add half and half, salt, pepper and hot sauce and cook on medium low until heated through. Do not boil!
