Ingredients
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter ir margarine
  • FROSTING:
  • 1-1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half cream
  • 2 cups flaked coconut

Directions
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat eggs, sugar and vanilla until thick, about 4 minutes.
  2. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to egg mixture and beat just until combined.
  3. In a saucepan, bring milk and butter to a boil, stirring constantly.
  4. Add to batter and beat until combined.
  5. Pour into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until cake tests done.
  7. Combine frosting ingredients; spread over warm cake.
  8. Broil until lightly browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  9. Yield: 16-20 servings.
