How to make it

  • Garlic-Ginger Dipping Sauce:
  • Finely chop garlic and put into the food processor. Add salt, pepper and eggs, one at a time. Pulse until combined. Take the feeder cap off of the food processor and on low speed slowly add the olive oil in a steady stream, until sauce thickens. Add lemon juice give a couple of quick pulses to combine. Then add ginger, soy sauce, and sugar until smooth.
  • Flank Steak:
  • Combine all ingredients, except for steak, in a big Ziploc bag, or glass bowl, and mix together. Put the steak in the marinade and cover. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Remove steak from marinade, set the marinade aside. BBQ or grill the steak (about 8-10 minutes each side, depending on how well you like it), basting frequently with reserved marinade. Let steak rest for 5-10 minutes and cut into strips. Serve with dipping sauce.
