Lamb and Potato Skillet

- 1 pound ground lamb shopping list
- 1 medium leek, chopped -OR- shopping list
- 2 green onions (your choice) shopping list
- 1 garlic clove, finely chopped -OR- shopping list
- 1 tsp minced garlic (either way is good) shopping list
- 3/4 cup NSA beef broth shopping list
- 1/4 cup red wine (try a burgandy or Cabernet Sauvigon) shopping list
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill weed or 1 teaspoon dried dill weed shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon Mrs. Dash garlic herb shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder shopping list
- 3 medium potatoes, cut into 1/4-inch pieces (3 cups) shopping list
- 1 dried bay leaf shopping list
- 1 small can NSA tomato sauce shopping list
- 1/4- 1/2 head of shredded cabbage shopping list
- (and this wouldn't be a Nina recipe without the optional mushrooms !! - quantity and type based on your preferences! ) shopping list
How to make it
- In a 10 inch skillet cook lamb, leek, garlic and those optional mushrooms over medium heat, stirring frequently, until lamb is brown; drain
- Stir remaining ingredients except tomatoe sause into the lamb mixture.
- Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are tender.
- Remove bay leaf. Stir in tomatoe sauce; heat through.
