Ingredients

How to make it

  • Crush the biscuits- I put them in a large bowl and bash them with the end of a rolling pin. Then crumble the big bits with my hands.
  • Add the Rice Krispies, cocoa, spices and coconut. Mix.
  • In a separate bowl mix the rum and the mixed fruit. (Leaving it for a while is best so the fruit absorbs the rum). Then add to the dry ingredients.
  • Mix everything well and add condensed milk.
  • Mix well until all coated.
  • Roll into balls using wet hands.
  • Makes 20 good-sized rum-balls.
  • No cooking required!
  • These are best kept for a few days or even a couple of weeks (yes!) Store in an air tight container in the fridge and decorate when needed.
  • Decorate with white icing sugar (mixed with a little water) and red and green sweets.
  • Happy Chistmas!
