How to make it

  • Cook prepared apples in cider until tender.
  • Add sugar, cinnamon and cloves.
  • Simmer until desired consistency is attained.
  • Puree mixture in food processor OR blender.
  • Return mixture to pot.
  • Boil until very hot.
  • Sterilize the jars in boiling water bath.
  • Pour hot apple butter into hot jars.
  • Place jars in a water bath for 10 minutes.
  • Remove jars very CAREFULLY.
  • Tighten lids .
  • Invert jars to seal.
  • Cool comletely.
  • Slather!
