Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients. Cut in 1/4 cup of butter and the veg. shortening until mixture looks like bread crumbs. Stir in the rest of the ingredients. Do not over-stir.
  • Divide the dough into 8 portions, and shape each into a slightly flattened ball. Place on a greased baking sheet or parchment or silpat. Space 1 1/2 inches apart. Bake at 400 degreees for 15 minutes or until pale golden and firm. Somebody put the teakettle on! Cool on a rack. Enjoy!
