How to make it

  • Saute onions and bell pepper until wilted
  • Add frozen okra and stir often, for about 5 mins
  • Add sliced andouille sausage and let it cook about 5 mins
  • Add the dry roux along with about a cup of water
  • Mix well and let it simmer for about 5 mins
  • Add the turkey and cans of broth
  • Add the water and bring to a boil
  • Add seasonings to taste
  • Then lower to simmer for about an hour and a half.
  • Serve over rice.
