Tootsie Roll Fudge

What a great way to use tootsie rolls....in a fudge recipe...............hope you enjoy these........courtesy taste of home candy book............
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon .plus 2 tablespoons butter..divided shopping list
- 2- cups tootsie rolls ( the midgets) shopping list
- 2- tablespoons peanut butter shopping list
- 3 3/4 - cups powdered sugar shopping list
- 2- tablespoons milk shopping list
- 1 - teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
- 1/3- cup green and red M&M'S shopping list
How to make it
- Line a 9 inch square pan with foil
- grease the foil with 1 tablespoon butter set aside......
- in a heavy saucepan, melt the Tootsie rolls , peanut butter and remaining butter over low heat, stirring constanlty
- gradually stir in the powdered sugar, milk and vanilla( mixture will be very thick)
- fold in pecans..........
- spread into the pan................let it set
- score the surface using a knife into one inch squares........
- press M&M'S candies into the center of each square ....cool.............
- using foil remove fudge from pan,.......... cut into squares
- yields 2 pounds
