Ingredients
  • 1 8oz package of cream cheese (room temp)
  • 1 C butter (room temp)
  • 1 1/2 C sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons Vanilla extract
  • 4 lrg Eggs
  • 2 1/4 C all purpose flour (divided)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 C fresh or frozen Cranberries
  • 1 C sliced almonds
  • Powdered Sugar for dusting

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. In a mixing bowl beat cream cheese, butter, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Combine 2 cups of sifted flour, baking powder, and salt to batter.
  5. Mix remaining flour with cranberries and nuts and fold into batter.
  6. Pour into a greased fluted pan, and give the pan a little shake so the batter distributes evenly.
  7. Bake at 350 for 65-70 min or until cake tests done.
  8. Let rest for 10 min before turning it upside down on a plate and dust with powdered sugar.
