Dumplings

- 2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 tablespoon baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 3 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
How to make it
- Combine the flour, salt and baking powder in a bowl.
- Bring the butter and milk to a simmer in a saucepan.
- Add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients.
- Stir with a fork OR knead by hand 2 to 3 times just until mixture comes together.
- Divide the dough into about 16 small puffy dumplings
- Roll each piece of dough into a small rough ball.
- Gently lay the formed dumplings on the surface of your soup or stew.
- Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Serve immediately.

Is there anything better than a couple of steaming, fluffy dumplings in a bowl of soup? Well, maybe....but it's a small list. ;0) 5-er!!!

I make a similar dumpling soup, except I drop my dumplings in by small spoonfulls. These can spiff up any chicken soup! Great post!
