Ingredients
  • 2 Pounds ground sirloin
  • 3 fresh jalapeno peppers minced fine.
  • 4 tablespoons finely minced sweet onion
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoon Worchestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 8 slices Monterrey Jack Cheese OR Pepper Jack cheese, get from deli section it’s better.
  • 6-8 buns

Directions
  1. Mix this in a large bowl or I do it on a VERY CLEAN counter.
  2. Shape into 6 or 8 patties.. I use a ¾ measuring cup.
  3. Make the middle a bit thinner than the edges they cook better this way…
  4. Grill on greased grill until done to your choice. Let cook for awhile before flipping so they don’t fall apart.
  5. For kids, cook all the way done.
  6. Put cheese on top and place on GRILLED OR TOASTED BUN.
  7. Add what ever you like, we always had a fixin table set up, with sliced tomatoes, sliced pickles, sliced green olives, lettuce, sliced onion, ketchup, mayo, mustard etc. and sliced jalapenos.
  8. One awesome burger that sent many kids on to higher education!

Oh my....this sounds wonderful....cant wait to try them...

Please take time to read the whole blurb at the start about the burgers and these outstanding kids... some of these kids were only 8 when they were doing this. We have had 3 leave our group, 2 for the Navy and 1 to college on a ROTC full paid 4 year scholarship from the Army.

You just can't go wrong with a jalapeno flavored burger. I like this recipe because my favorite flavors are already mixed in and I have less of a chance to be wearing my supper on my shirt. Jalapenos are messy when they slip out of the bun and bounce!! I'd be very proud of these young people too.

Great story. Great burgers and I'll bet the Chicken Fried Steaks are also great. These would go great on my jalapeno-cheese hamburger buns.
