Another from Chef Ain't B's "Grandma's Wartime Edition Cookbook". I have not made these muffins as yet so would definitely use the muffin pan with 12 baking sections.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fat (Crisco)
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Sift dry ingredientsinto a bowl.
  3. Gradually add eggs and milk.
  4. Beat well.
  5. Melt fat and add.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Grease muffin tins (or spray OR use papers)
  8. Fill tins 2/3 full.
  9. Bake for 25 minutes.
  10. **1/2 cup less milk may be used and 1 cup berries added.
