How to make it

  • Cook bacon until it is crispy, set aside
  • Pour off fat and reserve one tablespoon
  • Add tablespoon to skillet
  • Saute onions until transluscent
  • Add beef
  • Sprinkle the beef with white wine or mirin
  • Sprinkle a few drops (splashes) of Worcestershire sauce (7-10) onto the beef
  • Brown beef
  • Crumble bacon and add to beef mixture
  • Add mushrooms and soup (pepper to taste)
  • Rinse the can that held the soup with about 1/8 to1/4 cup of white wine, add 1 scant tsp. of broth crystals and toss that in as well : )
  • Stir well
  • Cook for about 2 or 3 minutes
  • Remove from heat and divide filling between pie shells
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 10 minutes then turn the oven heat down to 300 degrees for the last 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Serve with green salad and fresh green beans
