Golden Ground Beef Pie

- 2 frozen deep dish pie shells shopping list
- 3 lbs. ground beef (1 1/2 lb. for each pie shopping list
- 1/2 cup minced onion shopping list
- 7 - 10 small splashes of worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 2 cans golden mushroom soup shopping list
- 1/8 to 1/4 cup of white wine shopping list
- 2 scant tsp. broth (chicken, vege or beef) I use this in place of salt shopping list
- 1 or 2 small cans of mushrooms or 1/2 lb of fresh sliced shopping list
- 1 pkg. of bacon cooked crispy (1/2 pkg. per pie) shopping list
- pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Cook bacon until it is crispy, set aside
- Pour off fat and reserve one tablespoon
- Add tablespoon to skillet
- Saute onions until transluscent
- Add beef
- Sprinkle the beef with white wine or mirin
- Sprinkle a few drops (splashes) of Worcestershire sauce (7-10) onto the beef
- Brown beef
- Crumble bacon and add to beef mixture
- Add mushrooms and soup (pepper to taste)
- Rinse the can that held the soup with about 1/8 to1/4 cup of white wine, add 1 scant tsp. of broth crystals and toss that in as well : )
- Stir well
- Cook for about 2 or 3 minutes
- Remove from heat and divide filling between pie shells
- Bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 10 minutes then turn the oven heat down to 300 degrees for the last 10 to 15 minutes.
- Serve with green salad and fresh green beans
