Blueberry Butter

- 2 quarts fresh blueberries shopping list
- 8 large, green, cooking apples shopping list
- 8 cups sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon allspice shopping list
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg shopping list
- 1 teaspoon mace shopping list
How to make it
- Wash and drain blueberries; peel, core, and slice apples. Combine in a Dutch oven or port with remaining ingredients.
- Bring to a boil, stirring. Lower heat and simmer 1 hour, stirring periodically, or until right consistency for spreading.
- May be stored in the freezer or canned. If the latter, use water-bath method, processing 10 minutes.
- Note: Frozen blueberries can be used, but the flavor may not be so intense.
