How to make it

  • Wash and drain blueberries; peel, core, and slice apples. Combine in a Dutch oven or port with remaining ingredients.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring. Lower heat and simmer 1 hour, stirring periodically, or until right consistency for spreading.
  • May be stored in the freezer or canned. If the latter, use water-bath method, processing 10 minutes.
  • Note: Frozen blueberries can be used, but the flavor may not be so intense.

    Hello imanalienchef, 8 cups of sugar is correct--I have double checked the quantities. I guess you can adjust the sugar to accommodate your taste. Good luck!

    sounds good but i cant fathom you need 8 cups of sugar? has to be a typo....can you say wheres the berries?
