How to make it

  • Sift flour, salt and baking powder together, set aside.
  • Cream butter, add 1 1/2 cups sugar gradually and cream until fluffy.
  • Add beaten eggs and mix.
  • Gradually add sifted dry ingredients and mix.
  • Chill in refrigerator.
  • Mold dough into small balls, using about 1 tablespoon of dough for each and roll in mixture of remaining sugar and cinnamon.
  • Place 2" apart on ungreased baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Makes 3 dozen cookies.

    Guess what? I made snickerdoodles a few weeks ago and I didn't have enough cream of tartar......I did exactly as your recipe. I use more cinnamon & sugar to roll the cookies in tho'. Thank you!
