From wmhaynes 17 years agoIngredients
- potatoes peeled and cubed (usually 1 ½ potato per person) shopping list
- water to cover plus 1” shopping list
- bouillon cubes or powder (1 tablespoon for every 2 quarts of water) shopping list
- 1 whole garlic clove for every 2 potatoes shopping list
- butter shopping list
- milk shopping list
How to make it
- Cube potatoes for boiling and cover with water + 1”. Add bouillon and garlic cloves to the water and heat to boiling. This way the bouillon and garlic flavor permeates through the potatoes.
- When the potatoes can easily break in pieces with a fork (approx 20 minutes), drain the potatoes/garlic and put into a large pot. Add 1 tbsp butter for each 2 potatoes that you originally cooked. Add 1/4 – 1/2 cup milk, depending on how large a batch. Mash potatoes with garlic, butter, and milk until desired creaminess.
- These mashed potatoes have SO much flavor and are wonderfully easy to make.
